77/22 magazines don’t fit TriMag™! There is quite a bit of misinformation on the internet about a Ruger design change to BX-1 magazines – NOT TRUE!  If it has a flat bottom and a slight taper, it is a 77/22 magazine!  The 77/22 magazine will work in your 10/22, but if it sits recessed from the standard stock when inserted into the rifle, it is the wrong magazine for your 10/22 rifle!

BX-1 magazines will rock side to side on a flat table; they have a slightly rounded bottom and when inserted, they perfectly fit the shape of your rifle with factory stock.   This is the easiest way to check for the correct magazine.
